Beecroft/Cheltenham are neighbouring suburbs and are very alike and often referred to as the same suburb. Situated 22 km’s north-west of Sydney, Beecroft/Cheltenham is popular for large grand federation style homes on generous blocks with leafy surrounds.
Beecroft still offers a village atmosphere even though there has been some recent development of new home units and the redevelopment of the shopping village now called Beecroft Place.
A major drawcard to the area are the schools such as Beecroft primary school and the ever popular high ranking Cheltenham Girls high school.
Beecroft railway station is on the North Shore, Northern & Western Line of the Sydney Trains network. In addition to passenger railway traffic, the Main Northern Line also acts as an intercity and freight train thoroughfare passing through Beecroft. Beecroft is also serviced by various bus routes including route 553 from State Transit and routes 651 and 635 from Hillsbus.
