Denistone is a smaller, quieter suburb than its bordering suburbs of Eastwood, West Ryde and Ryde. Denistone is known for the consistency of a similar style of housing being Federation and Californian Bungalow. The population of Denistone is 3,566 (2011 census). The streets in Denistone are tree-lined and boast generous blocks of land.
Denistone boasts the popular Darvall Park. Darvall Park runs from Eastwood down to West Ryde and can be accessed from Denistone railway station. It features a new playground for younger children, picnic shelters, barbeque facilities and toilets in a lovely setting of mature trees and grass.
There is also a designated dog off-leash area within Darvall Park which is very popular on afternoons and weekends.
Denistone Sports Club is a family friendly club located in Chatham Road next door to Darvall Park. You can enjoy a delicious meal at the bistro, have a fun-filled afternoon playing “barefoot bowls” with your friends and family. Great venue for functions and parties too.
